Sunday in China

July 22, 2007

We had a good day. No meltdowns, only pouting when she did not get her way. And she doesn’t pout very long before she moves on and is happy again.

I am eating so much better now. The White Swan Hotel breakfast, it is simply amazing. They have everything that you could imagine for breakfast and more. This morning Xiang Yi wanted chicken nuggets and of course cherry tomatoes. She also loves milk and will drink at least 2 glasses of milk at each meal. This is so good to see because her little bones are so tiny. After breakfast we attended a Christian church. It is one of the few Christian sanctioned churches in China. We walked in and everyone was singing. It was the most beautiful thing I have ever heard. It was so moving to see everyone worshipping our Lord in China.

I got some shopping done. I felt like a girl on a mission, armed with a list!

Tomorrow is our U.S. consulate appointment. And then we will visit the Six Banyan Temple where Buddha’s ashes are, and then Pearl Market. I am looking forward to this outing. And hope to get some pictures of Xiang Yi and myself together.

With love from China, Michelle & Xiang Yi

Hi Michelle, I am praying for you all and will specifically be in prayer about possible additional medical issues for Xiang Yi. We serve an awesome God and he already knows about any issues. Rest in that and the fact that you all will be home soon with access to wonderful medical facilities.

Hi, Michelle! You're in the home stretch now - yea! Tomorrow sounds like a fun day. We are praising God for Xiang Yi's wonderful progress - it sounds like she is doing much better when you take her out! I can't wait to hear all about church.

Praying for you,
