Typhoon Coming!

May 16, 2006

We have been in our own little world here.

We have been in our own little world here and we can hardly keep track of what day it is; so imagine our surprise when we learned that there is a typhoon heading our way and should hit tomorrow. Our guide said not to be too alarmed, but we really don’t know what to expect from a typhoon. We will keep you posted, and pray that it won’t be bad.

Today was a day of shopping and a McDonald’s outing. McDonald’s has never tasted so good. We also bargained at the local shops and bought Katherine a couple of gorgeous dresses for a couple of dollars a piece. Bargaining here is very similar to buying a car in the US but on a smaller scale. You can get some really good deals, but I think it is tiring to haggle all of the time.

Katherine is making progress every day. She is so precious, and we can’t imagine life without her. We go tomorrow to the U.S. Consulate for her swearing in as a U.S. citizen. We are so excited, as this is our last step to adopting her.

We will be home soon!

With love,
Michelle, Trey, Hunter and Katherine

I loved seeing Katherine giggling what a difference a couple of days make and lots of love and attention.

We will pray that you stay safe during the typhoon.

Katherine is making such huge progress! But what child wouldn't, with such a GREAT and LOVING family! I will pray for God to keep you in His care. See you soon. Janet

She's got such a beautiful smile. And she looks like she's quick!
