puppy love

We’ve had our sweet Daisy for a few weeks now and couldn’t be more in love with this
amazing dog.  She’s captured all of our hearts with her big, sweet personality.  I think
she thinks she’s a 50 pound lap dog, and loves sitting on our laps and snuggling.  She’s
wonderful with the kids, and so gentle.  We’re working on not wanting to eat the squirrels
that frequent our backyard, but she’s a hunting dog, I can’t be too surprised by it.
We’re so blessed to have such a wonderful furry friend.

state championship

Caroline competed in the USAG State Championship this past weekend.  She did an outstanding job, and scored high enough to be promoted to the next level.

Caroline’s determination and drive amazes me, and whatever she does she gives it her all.

november gymnastics meet #3

Last weekend Caroline had her last gymnastics competition before she competes at the state level.  This season has been pretty intense and I think we’ll all breathe a sigh of relief when it’s over.

She had a really good meet other than a freak fall on the beam.

She scored 9.300 on vault, 9.500 on bars, 8.550 on beam, and a 9.200 on floor.  She took 2nd place for her all around score.

She wasn’t really thrilled with her placing, but she was a good sport about it and for me that’s huge.  When she gives her competitors high fives whether she wins or not it makes this mama pretty proud.

the littles…

are not so little anymore.

november gymnastics meet #2

Last weekend Caroline competed in the biggest gymnastics competition in our region.
There were about 2,000 gymnasts in attendance, and some fierce competition.
Caroline did really well with a 9.225 on vault, 9.200 on bars, 9.000 on beam and 9.225 on floor.
Caroline’s learning so much so quickly and more importantly some really good life lessons along the way.

november gymnastics meet #1

Hold onto your seats, because the month of November is going to be a whirlwind of gymnastics
competitions.  Caroline did really well on her first meet in November.  She placed 2nd on vault,
3rd on bars, 1st on beam, 1st on floor and won her age division.

I thought the coolest thing about the competition was that she had the 3rd highest
score out of 192 girls that competed at all levels and age divisions.
Way to go Caroline!

so determined

Caroline had an out of town gymnastics competition this weekend.  I’ll tell you what…that girl is so determined to do the very best she can.

She did really well with a 9.250 on vault, 9.400 on bars, 9.000 on beam, 9.400 on floor; winning her age division.

She has out of town competitions every weekend now until December.  We’re bracing ourselves for the whirlwind, but so excited to watch this girl give it her all and touched at how thankful she is to be doing what she loves.

competition season

Gymnastics competition season is in full swing for Caroline.  Her first meet of the season at
the new level was this weekend.  She did an amazing job.  She went up against girls who are
competing this level for the second year and held her own.  She placed 2nd on vault, 1st on bars
4th on beam, 3rd on floor and 2nd place on her all around score!
Way to go Caroline!

the life of a gymnast

This is what Caroline looks like after a 4 hour practice at the gym; happy, tired and
needing to ice her legs.
